What kind of cruise traveller are you ...?
Once you decide on where you want to go and what kind of cruise
experience you want, it is a good idea to look at what kind of
traveler you are and who is going to travel with you. While most
cruise lines offer a sampling for all, you still need to try and
determine:
Are you:
An active traveler who wants a large range of activities? Do
you want fitness facilities available on your cruise? Sports activities
on board the ship or Scuba diving and snorkeling experiences?
An adventurer who wants to visit faraway capitals
and see everything possible? Do you like to get off the beaten
track and look for unusual things? Do you want to walk on a glacier,
take an Amazon River journey or visit Mayan and Inca ruins?
A romantic – gourmet candle light dinners
for two in the privacy of your own suite, dancing under the stars,
doing new things with your special partner? Moonlit beach walks
and spectacular sunsets? Massages for two? Perhaps a proposal?
A Family vacationer – don’t spend
enough time with your kids? Want a vacation that caters to the
interests of the whole family? Dining choices that work for the
kids as well as the adults? A family reunion maybe?
A Sophisticated and experienced traveler – when
you travel you want the very best. You want 5 star suites and world
class cuisine and impeccable service tops your list. Perhaps the
more exotic the destination the more you want it! Voyages that
depart from the status quo.
A Party “animal” – and like
staying up all night, dancing, singing, enjoy the casinos, meeting
lots of like minded people? The more bars and lounges the better.
Not there for a long time just a good time?
A Senior or special needs vacationer – who
need special services, perhaps a wheel chair accessible cabin or
want to bring a scooter along; or have medical concerns? Many ships
are designed for handicap access with special cabin assignments
and special services.
A Single cruiser – do you like to travel
alone? Want to meet other singles? Like an active night life?
A Need All Inclusive – don’t want
any additional charges, everything done and paid for including
gratuities and adult beverages, once you sail?
